Description of FSMR26 Analyzer MEASURING RECEIVER
The R&S FSMR26 Measuring Receiver (FSMR series) is a one box solution for calibrating RF level and analog modulation parameters of signal generators and attenuation. The R&S FSMR combines the functionalities of a level calibrator, modulation and audio analyzer, power meter and spectrum analyser, all in a single instrument.
Due to its high level linearity and frequency range of up to 26.5GHz, the R&S FSMR26 is ideal for measurement tasks in calibration and test and measurement labs. The R&S FSMR26 from Rohde & Schwarz performs all measurements that are necessary for the calibration of signal generators and fixed or variable attenuators.
As a level calibrator, the R&S FSMR achieves a linearity value of 0.015 dB + 0.005 dB/10 dB, which fully corresponds to that of the current industry standard. The R&S FSMR26 offers a wide measurement range from +30dBm to -130dBm. In addition, the measurement bandwidth can be set to broad limits between 100Hz and 10MHz. During level measurements, this prevents the frequency offset or residual FM of the signal generator to be calibrated from having any effect.
All modulation parameters and the DUT's modulation generator can be calibrated solely with the R&S FSMR. A modulation analyser and an audio analyser for the analogue modulation modes AM, FM and PM are already integrated into the instrument. In addition, the FSMR is equipped with a full-featured spectrum analyzer and a power meter to which the power sensors of the R&S NRP family can be connected.
The R&S FSMR also supports power meters from other manufacturers, which it controls via an IECIEEE bus connection. Investments that have already been made by calibration and development departments within the military, at mobile radio manufacturers or at metrology labs are protected since they can continue to use their existing instruments.
All functional components of the R&S FSMR26 such as level calibrator, modulation analyser, audio analyser, power meter as well as spectrum analyser, and even externally connected power meters, can be operated directly via its front panel. The R&S FSMR26 also has GPIB and LAN interfaces, thus allowing convenient integration and remote control in measuring systems.
